Vlisco has devised several easy ways to recognise whether a fabric is a true original Vlisco Wax Hollandais piece, just follow these 5 steps.

Vlisco has therefore devised several easy ways to recognise whether a fabric is a true original Vlisco Wax Hollandais piece. Follow the 5 steps below, or simply scan the QR code present on the label of your fabric.</h4><h4 id="1-the-sun">1. The Sun</h4>Find our well-known sun on the fabric label and look for the iconic VVH crest, which stands for &#x2018;Van Vlissingen Helmond&#x2019;. The name &#x2018;Vlisco&#x2019; is a combination of the family name &#x2018;Vlissingen&#x2019; and &#x2018;company&#x2019;.<h4 id="2-the-design-number">2. The Design Number</h4>Compare the number on the selvedge of the fabric, to the number in the white box on the green rectangular label. If it is an authentic Vlisco fabric, these will the same numbers.<h4 id="3-the-selvedge">3. The Selvedge</h4>When we talk about the selvedge, we are referring to the white edge of the fabric.<ul><li style="font-size: 14px;">On the top, look for the words VERITABLE WAX HOLLANDAIS VLISCO, while the selvedge on the bottom states GUARANTEED DUTCH WAX VLISCO.</li><li style="font-size: 14px;">Our unique craft process creates irregular dye lines and marks, so the selvedges are usually not a bright white colour.</li></ul><h4 id="4-the-label">4. The Label</h4>All Vlisco fabrics are printed in Helmond, Holland, at our own factory. This is proudly stated in our PRINTED BY VLISCO IN HOLLAND statement, on the white label.5. Follow the 5 steps below, or simply scan the QR code present on the label of your fabric.<h4 id="1-the-iconic-super-wax-label">1. The Iconic Super-Wax Label</h4>This special green and gold label on the fabric should state: &#x2018;GUARANTEED REAL DUTCH SUPER-WAX BLOCK PRINTS &#x2013; PRINTED IN HOLLAND&#x2019;.<h4 id="2-the-sun">2.
