What is the security code (CVC) for credit card payments?Updated an hour ago
All online shops are required to request your CVC (Card Verification Code) when you make a credit card payment. This is an additional security measure helps prevent credit card fraud by verifying that you have physical possession of the card.
The CVC is a unique number linked to your credit card and is found in different locations depending on the card type:
MasterCard and Visa: the last three digits printed on the signature panel on the back of your card, typically on the right-hand side.
American Express: a four-digit security code printed on the front of the card, either to the left or right of the embossed 15-digit card number. Unlike the card number, these digits are printed, not embossed.
